Job Description
Remote is seeking a Test Manager to join the team in ASD. As part of the REDSPICE transformation program, we are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Test Manager to support the implementation of a modern cloud-based data platform on AWS. To be successful in this role we are seeking an experienced test manager with the ability to: Establish an appropriate test strategy based on a long term release plan, lead and upskill a team in the execution of the test strategy, plan, track and manage test execution ensuring adherence to agreed test approaches and act as a point of escalation in relation to testing outcomes. Role Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating business outcomes.
- Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, sharing own expertise with others and guiding and mentoring less experienced employees.
- Accountable for coordinating the execution of testing activities and ensure integrity of test results.
- Provide clear reporting of test results and ensure that they are understood by system developers.
- Identify process improvements that contribute to testing standards and best practices and ensure compliance.
- Has and applies expertise in testing tools, methodologies and processes.
- Build and sustain relationships with a range of stakeholders and communicate test strategies where necessary.
- Motivate and mentor teams, aligning complementary skills and allocating resources in a manner that delivers results.
- Evaluate projects to understand critical factors for success and engage in activities to achieve continuous improvement.
- Analyse very complex software testing issues and apply expertise to identify and recommend courses of action.
- Maintain knowledge of change control procedures and change management tools.
Technical skills
- Practical knowledge of Test Management tools such as JIRA / X-ray
- Experience working in a cloud environment – specifically AWS
- Well versed in the Agile methodology
- Ability to define and implement an automation framework (Mobile & Functional)
- Exposure to Functional Automation tools like Playwright and frameworks such as Cucumber
Essential criteria
- Practical knowledge of Test Management tools such as JIRA / X-ray
- Experience working in a cloud environment – specifically AWS
- Well-versed in the Agile methodology
Desirable criteria
