Job Description
Remote is seeking a Test Manager to join the team at the Australian Cyber Security Centre. The Test Manager will need to ensure capability delivered through the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Programs meet the identified business need. The Test Manager will provide an objective narrative regarding software health such as the conformance of the product to requirements, the usability of the product, any known risks and any unresolved defects. The Test Manager will report and communicate decisions taken on software readiness for release and is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformance of the applications delivered by the Program. Role Description
Key duties and responsibilities
- Prepare and manage test processes including; test planning, resources, time frames, risk assessments, test deliverables and traceability matrices.
- Analyse and report on test activities and outcomes and raise, prioritise and manage defects using appropriate test management tools.
- Coordinate the preparations for evaluations and in the operation of the user experience (UX) test environment.
- Coordinate the collection of feedback on the developing UX design from end users and other representative sources.
- Take responsibility for the integrity of testing and acceptance activities.
Essential criteria
- Lead testing team to achieve organisational objectives. Responsibilities include determining and delegating objectives, setting performance targets, monitoring performance, providing feedback, encouraging individual development, and adjusting workloads.
- Provide advice and expertise to promote the adoption of new methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Responsible for to select appropriate methods and tools according to agreed-upon guidelines, contributing to organisational policies and standards.
- Expertise in my specialized area of business process and actively maintain recognized expert-level knowledge in multiple areas to lead the test team to develop scenarios. Sharing of specialist knowledge within the organization.
- Responsible for addressing issues, manage resolutions, implement corrective actions, document lessons learned, and disseminate relevant information. Additionally, engage with stakeholders, gather feedback to measure effectiveness.
- Develop testing policies, standards, and guidelines. Lead complex testing activities, manage testing risks, and adapt testing methods for complex problems.
Desirable criteria
- Lead the team to plan and manage acceptance testing activities, including specifying the testing environment. Develop and report test results to stakeholders, addressing any issues or risks identified and also provide expert advice on acceptance test planning and execution.
- Plan, organize, and conduct assessments to determine quality control. Furthermore, determine risks of non-compliance and suggest corrective actions.
