Job Description

Remote is seeking a Software Developer to join the team in Home Affairs. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams, embracing continuous feedback and iteration. Understand how technology, process, and business intersect to deliver valuable solutions. They will design, build, and operate modern web applications that support critical business workflows, while thriving in a tight-knit, supportive, and inclusive culture. (RFI 39-2526)

Role Description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design & Build End-to-End Solutions - Develop and maintain scalable web applications delivering clean, testable code that meets functional requirements.
  • Implement and evolve API layers - using REST/GraphQLAPI development and secure gateway patterns.
  • Containerise and deploy services.
  • Ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Participate in Agile delivery and development processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise production systems.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in a technology field.

Required Knowledge/Experience and tools:

  • 3+ years full stack C#/.NET and React/Typescript development experience.
  • Proficiency with REST/GraphQL API development and secure gateway patterns.
  • Solid background in resilience and background-processingpatterns and frameworks.
  • Experience with Entity Framework, SQL Server, and Elasticsearch.
  • Hands-on containerised service deployment on Kubernetes with Helm.
  • Familiar with agile development tools including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with version control and Cl/CD development, including Gitlab.
