Job Description
Remote is seeking an experienced Systems Developer to join the team at Home Affairs. The successful candidate will conduct the evaluation of multiple systems, and with the project management team choose a preferred system that meets project requirements. The successful candidate will also include the evaluation of RF protocol analysis systems and machine learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems to filter large datasets reducing the signals of interest to manageable levels.
The successful candidate will configure, test and install IPMS under evaluation, providing detailed reports to the project management team. On selection of a preferred IPMS solution, the systems will be procured and installed. The successful candidate will follow correct procurement procedures and lead the installation team. Integration of the systems into corporate ICT infrastructure will require consultation with the relevant systems and networks teams. Effective stakeholder engagement is critical to ensure delivery of the complete package. The successful candidate will also provide BASIC training on all systems to relevant personnel. Role Description
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging IPMS capabilities
- Evaluate IPMS systems, protocol analysers and ML/AI systems to determine the best solution for an IPMS system
- Develop IPMS infrastructure and capabilities
- Deploy IPMS systems as required
- Analyse and report on data from IPMS systems
- Integrate an IPMS system into corporate ICT infrastructure and security networks
- Collaborate with Government agencies

Desirable Qualifications
- Information technology (IT) Networks, cyber security principles, encryption techniques.
Required Knowledge/Experience and tools
- Experience in assessing, maintaining and managing IPMS capabilities for an Australian Government agency.
- Experience in the integration of an IPMS into ICT networks of an Australian Government agency.
- Intrinsic knowledge of the technical threat environment.
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of security equipment and systems.
- Understanding of technical security and its application to Government.
