Job Description

Remote is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support of a number of DEF100 Capability Elements in AGO. The Systems Engineer will support the design and implementation of security products/functions in line with AGO Architecture. The candidate will ensure that the products are implemented in accordance with industry baselines, the DSPF and the ISM. The role will need systems engineering skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical and non-technical personnel. The program of work has multiple projects which range in size.  The successful candidate may be required to work across one or more of these projects. (LH-05540)

Role Description

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Create detailed system designs for systems to meet project specification in line with architectural guidance, balances functional and non-functional requirements to integrate various hardware and software components effectively
  • Provide detailed technical advice, identifying and evaluating alternative design options and trade-offs
  • Install, configure and deploy systems and components, ensuring they are integrated correctly and function as intended
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems, providing timely support to maintain system stability and minimise disruptions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures to support ongoing management and troubleshooting
  • Create security documentation to support formal compliance assessments and formal security approvals
  • Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures and working cohesively and flexibly with the broader project team, key business partners and stakeholder groups
  • Ability to work in a high security environment with sensitivity reticence and discretion.
