Job Description
Remote is seeking a Product Manager to join the team at Home Affairs. As a Product Manager you will have a deep understanding of Home Affairs’ customers’ and will be responsible for ensuring that the product meets their needs and expectations. You will navigate complex stakeholder relationships, comply with regulations and laws, and work in a transparent and accountable environment. You will be concerned with the product’s long-term success and viability, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets both customer needs and business goals. You will also have to be creative and resourceful in finding ways to modernise and innovate legacy systems. (RFQ-HA-26-2025)
Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams to define and deliver product features and priorities.
- Prioritise resources to meet product goals, including allocating budget, personnel, and technology resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and market trends, and to gather input and feedback on product plans.
- Work with development teams to ensure that product requirements are properly understood and implemented.
- Monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Required Knowledge/Experience and tools Required:
- 3+ years of relevant Product Management experience
- Ability to create product roadmaps, define product vision, and align product strategy with business goals and customer needs.
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and features based on value and impact.
- Ability to manage and prioritise the product backlog effectively.
- Demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of product development, including software development, software architecture and infrastructure.
Highly Desirable:
- Proficiency in working with a range of Product Management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, or similar for product planning and collaboration).
- Familiarity with government processes, policies, and regulatory requirements.
