Remote is seeking MS Windows Infrastructure Engineers to join the team in ASD. The Microsoft Windows Engineers will research, design, implement and manage software, including writing and implementing effective code in accordance with technical direction and best practice. (LH-03866)
Role Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, design, implement and manage software.
- Develop and operate a windows server platform including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, remote desktop services and WSUS.
- Design, test and deploy new versions of the Windows operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware.
- Integrate and support management and security software and configurations.
- Provide server automation.
- Integrate with MFA solutions.
- Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software.
- Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised Windows systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues.
- Manage server migration when required.
- As required, undertake any other tasks as requested by the Technical team.
Job Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in the design, test and deployment of new versions of the Windows operating system.
- Demonstrated experience with and/or detailed understanding of security software associated with Windows operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual and Essential Eight.
