Job Description

Remote are We are seeking TechnologyOne Financials Administrator to support the implementation and enhancement of our *TechnologyOne Financials* solution at Home Affairs. This platform empowers the Department through robust budgeting, accounting, asset management, and financial reporting capabilities—helping drive efficiency and achieve strategic financial objectives. Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement, configure, enhance, and upgrade the TechnologyOne Financials solution, delivering tailored and effective outcomes.
  • Business Engagement: Develop strong relationships across various business areas, coaching teams to deliver value-driven solutions and ensuring the system remains aligned to business needs.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and align with the overarching project and program plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with TechnologyOne’s Consulting Enablement teams by providing feedback to support ongoing improvements to products, tools, and processes.
  • System Configuration: Setting up and configuring the TechnologyOne system to meet the organisation's specific needs, including defining workflows, creating user roles, and configuring security settings.
  • User Management: Creating and managing user accounts, assigning roles and permissions, and providing training and support to end- users.
  • Data Management: Managing and maintaining data integrity, including data imports, exports, and backups.
  • System Upgrades and Patches: Applying software updates, patches, and releases to ensure the system remains secure and up-to-date.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolving technical issues, errors, and system problems, often working with TechnologyOne support teams or other IT staff.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Creating and managing reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
  • Integration: Integrating TechnologyOne with other systems, such as payroll, HR, or financial systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensuring the system meets Departmental security and compliance requirements, such as data protection and auditing.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Maintaining system documentation, identifying areas for process improvement, and implementing changes to optimise system usage.
  • Proven experience with Financial systems.
  • Understanding of/experience with financial principles and processes, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, reconciliation and taxation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills, including experience with TechnologyOne enterprise software systems and database management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, as they will work with various stakeholders, including end-users, IT staff, and management.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and system updates.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Required Knowledge/Experience and tools:

  • Proven experience with TechnologyOne’s Financials product, including implementation and/or configuration.
  • A strong understanding of financial principles and processes, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), reconciliation, and taxation.
  • Experience working with government clients (local or federal) will be considered highly desirable.
