Job Description
Remote is seeking an Expert Cloud Service Manager to join the team in ASD. The Expert Cloud Service Manager will be responsible for validating and maintaining alignment between project priorities and cloud adoption efforts. They will contribute to the protection ASD systems and information, meet domestic and international policies and standards and mitigate risks. (LH-04653)
Role Description
Key duties and responsibilities
- Demonstrated executive, strategic or project management competencies.
- Experience with hyper-scale commercial cloud business models and consumption in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience of the One Defence Capability System.
- Manage all aspects of cloud related activities within ASD related to the ISR enterprise to ensure program alignment to support the achievement of Defence and ASD Strategic Objectives.
- Engage with internal ASD and external ISR programs and projects to develop, review, advise and/or report on cost models, schedules, capability development artefacts and user feedback.
- Develop ASD capability roadmaps, models, strategies and plans considering ISR capabilities.
- Manage stakeholder groups focused on organisational business outcomes.
- Monitor industry products, to include industry engagement, to gain knowledge and understanding of currently emerging cloud technologies.
- Escalate issues and seek advice from executive management in a timely manner, supporting other tasks as required.
Technical skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of the major cloud providers and their relevant products, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
- Demonstrated knowledge of a project management tool/s compatible within a cloud environment.
Essential criteria
Demonstrated understanding of, and experience of, Enterprise and Business Architecture at the STPL Level 6 within the SFIA Framework: "Develops enterprise-wide architecture and processes to embed the strategic application of change in the management of the organisation. Leads the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business. Ensures the buy-in of all key stakeholders. Captures and prioritises market and environmental trends, business strategies and objectives, and identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies. Develops and presents business cases for approval, funding and prioritisation of high-level initiatives. Sets strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure compliance between business strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities".
