Job Description
Remote is seeking a Business Analyst to join the team at the Department of Home Affairs, accountable under the general direction of a Senior Business Analyst or Program Manager for investigating, analysing and documenting business goals, processes, information and data, and defining requirements to improve systems and ways of working. improving processes and systems, reducing their costs, enhancing their sustainability, and the quantification of potential business benefits. The collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the deployment of information and communication systems. The adoption and adaptation of business analysis approaches based on the context of the work and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan- driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Role Description
The role will involve working with business stakeholders, project managers system architects and development personnel and sits within the Product Delivery Directorate which is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality Products that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigates business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
- Adopts holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
- Contributes to the selection of the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis.
- Conducts root cause analysis and identifies recommendations for improvements.
- Engages and collaborates with operational stakeholders.
Required Knowledge/Experience
• Minimum 3 years Business Analyst experience
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree In relevant field.
Desirable Qualifications
- IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
- iiBA Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)
- ilBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
