Job Description
Remote is seeking Business Analysts to join the team in Home Affairs. The Business Analyst will be accountable under the general direction of a Senior Business Analyst / Program Manager for the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business goals, objectives, functions and processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based. The role will involve working with business stakeholders, project managers, system architects and development personnel. (RFI 30-2526)
Role Description
In this role, the Business Analyst is responsible for the definition of requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing costs, enhancing sustainability, and quantifying potential business benefits. The position involves the collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the deployment of information and communication systems. It also requires the adoption and adaptation of business analysis approaches based on the context of the work, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile) methods.
- Investigates business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
- Adopts holistic view to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
- Contributes to the selection of the approach and techniques to be used for business situation analysis.
- Conducts root cause analysis and identifies recommendations for improvements. Engages and collaborates with operational stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Desirable Qualifications:
- IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
- IIBA Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Required Knowledge/Experience and tools:
- Minimum 3 years Business Analysis experience
