Job Description

Remote requires a Software Tester to ensure high-quality software delivery by designing and executing test cases based on business and technical requirements in ASD. The tester will be responsible for identifying and reporting defects, maintain test documentations, and collaborating with developers to support continues quality improvement across the software development lifecycle. Role Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Design, build, and develop test plan and test cases to ensure software quality and alignment with business requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Implement and maintain automated test scripts where applicable, using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
  • Assist and priorities testing efforts based on risks, complexity, and business impact.
  • Contribute to the refinement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance software quality and delivery efficiency.

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrable experience in Java Software testing, QA, or quality engineering within agile or waterfall project environment.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., Agile Testing, Functional/Non-functional Testing).
  • Demonstrable experience with test management tools like Jira and defect tracking.
  • Strong Analytical skills with ability to identify edge cases and potential issues.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience testing in government or public sector environments.
  • Knowledge of API testing, performance testing, and security testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Experience with version control system systems (e.g. Git) and documentation platforms (e.g. Confluence, SharePoint).
