Remote is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst for a backfill role at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Senior Intelligence Analyst will deliver intelligence research and analysis services to support the department’s development and delivery of foreign policy advice, operational programs and consular and crisis services. Role Description
The Intelligence Analyst will deliver intelligence research and analysis services to support the department’s development and delivery of foreign policy advice, operational programs and consular and crisis services. This position will protect and advance Australia’s interests by ensuring policymakers have access to timely and targeted intelligence information and advice suited to their policy needs and interests. The position will involve regular, face-to-face engagement with departmental executive and other policy customers to gather and respond to their intelligence requirements. The position fulfils a central role in an ongoing transformation to ensure the department can respond and adapt to global trends and emerging national security challenges.

Deliverables:
- Research and analysis on foreign policy and intelligence matters of relevance to the operational needs of the department
- Support coordination and collaboration across the department on intelligence matters
- Flexible and agile delivery of intelligence services in a manner responsive to business needs while ensuring adherence to whole-of-government policies
- Engagement with the Senior Executive Service and facilitation of their engagement with NIC agencies
- Improve intelligence literacy among employees to increase awareness of available intelligence services and how to access them
- Support for the ongoing reform and modernisation of the department’s intelligence capability, change management and strategic communication
- Participate in an after-hours duty roster.
